This project, started in 2018, was first discussed during a meeting between Timon Ducos and the Tara Ocean Foundation, as part of a graduation project (DSAA DIS) at the École Estienne (Graduate School of Arts and Printing Industry). It was finally launched in September 2019 during the celebration of the Tara Oceans expedition's 10th anniversary.
